Western District of Oklahoma

Our Mission

The Mission of the Federal Public Defender is to give full effect to the Sixth Amendment by providing zealous and effective representation to every client. Through client-centered advocacy, we defend the fundamental human dignity and equality before the law of each client.

Pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act of 1964 (CJA), 18 U.S.C § 3006A., the Federal Public Defender Organization for the Western District of Oklahoma provides legal services to people accused of violations of federal criminal law in the Western District of Oklahoma.  We also represent people in all three Federal Districts who were convicted in Oklahoma and sentenced to death.  Before we can assist anyone with legal advice and services, we must be appointed by a Federal Judge.
